We gathered together in a spectacular residence atop Lone Tree Hill just outside Victoria, British Columbia to taste a selection of wines from Pertaringa which hails from McLaren Vale Australia along with some local wines.

We sat back in the comfortable seats at the Fairmont Empress' dining lounge, eagerly awaiting the chance to taste seven of Gaja's famous wines from Piedmont. The small group had forked out $100 each to get about an ounce of each wine in some cases worth as much as $700. The wait was well worth it.
Ben Glaetzer is enjoying a popularity run that has spread right across the wine world. His 100pt score for his 2006 version of "Amon-Ra" has put him in the stratosphere.
